Join us as we begin a new series looking into the life of Elijah, one of the prophets that God used to do amazing things in Israel. This week we look at the moment we are first introduced to Elijah, as he challenges the king of Israel, gets fed by God through ravens, and helps a starving widow trust that God is going to do what He says He will.
Both Elijah and the widow at Zarephath experience life-threatening situations and they get to the end of their own strength and abilities. But God works to bring life; to show them that they have no reason to despair. God demonstrates His power in their lives as He gives them reason to hope. Let us follow their stories as we learn how God brings life out of situations where we see only death.
