Lent: Journeying with Jesus: Jesus among the crowds
Lent 2025 - Journeying with Jesus / 2
We move from seeing Jesus in the wilderness, to walking with Jesus among the crowds. Jairus, the synagogue leader begs Jesus to come to his house to heal his daughter. While on the way there, a woman reaches out to Jesus to be healed from her bleeding which has lasted 12 years. In these two encounters, we see Jesus’ compassion and power. We also see how Jesus had time for people even whilst everyone with their different needs and desires were pushing in on Jesus. Read more

He is Risen! Jesus is Alive
Easter Sunday 2024
The women went to the tomb to anoint Jesus’ body, but He was not there because He had risen from death. Jesus is alive! Hallelujah. We celebrate this joyful day because Jesus has risen and He is alive and with us today. We celebrate because He brings us hope - hope for the present and hope for the future. And we celebrate because the resurrection is the ultimate proof that Jesus is Lord! Read more

Palm Sunday: Why do we celebrate?
Palm Sunday 2024
The crowds rejoiced at the coming of Jesus, as the Messiah and King. But they did not understand what He was there to do. They believed He was going to free them from Roman rule and take up His place as King over Israel, a sovereign nation. But Jesus had a different mission. He had a greater mission. He was there to free all of creation from the grip of Satan. He was coming to set us free from slavery to the world. Read more

The Holy Spirit Gives Direction
We continue our focus on the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost as we continue following the story. And as we do, we ask ourselves how is the Holy Spirit working today in our lives? This week we think about the way in which the Spirit empowers and directs, giving visions and dreams, causing us to prophesy and speak out the words of God. What is God showing you? What dreams and visions does He give you? What words is He calling you to speak? How is the Holy Spirit directing you? Read more
