Paul instructs us to “let the peace of Christ rule” in our hearts. The peace He offers is perfect complete wholeness, a peace that brings restoration. We are to let this peace rule in our hearts and be evident in everything we say or do. This includes allowing the peace of Christ to rule in our relationships and the way we sacrificially love and serve one another. Christ calls us to die to our old selves and to rise with Him to the transformed and transforming life that He offers us. We no longer have to be ruled by our past habits and behaviours but can be renewed and transformed as we clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, binding it all with love.
