Today is the day of Pentecost. A day that we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit, with the sound of a violent wind and tongues of fire resting on the disciples.

God poured out His Spirit to empower the disciples for their mission to go and make disciples of all nations. But He also used the moment of the Holy Spirit coming to help spread the word, as people from all over the Roman Empire were able to see the presence and power of God coming to rest on the disciples, confirming the truth of the message they proclaimed.

The Holy Spirit descended on the disciples, giving them the presence and power of God to do the works God had planned for them. The Holy Spirit is with us too, and if we are willing to listen to Him, He will give your the presence and power of God to empower you to do amazing things for God. Will you let the Holy Spirit have His way in you?
