John speaks to the Church and reminds them that we have a command, that has been given to us since the beginning. But this is also a command that has been made new through Jesus. This command is for us to love.

We are called to love all people, not just those we like, not just those that believe what we do, but all people, because by the way we love, people will know we are Jesus’ disciples. We are also called to love not with our fleeting human love, but the love of God that Jesus pours into our hearts so we can pour it out to others.

Are you prepared to choose love in all your interactions with others?

Quotes Twenty-One Pilots, Ride “I’d die for you, " that’s easy to say We have a list of people that we would take A bullet for them, a bullet for you A bullet for everybody in this room But I don’t seem to see many bullets comin’ through See many bullets comin’ through Metaphorically, I’m the man But literally, I don’t know what I’d do “I’d live for you, " and that’s hard to do Even harder to say when you know it’s not true

Martin Luther King Jr. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
