We begin a new series, looking at the first letter of John. The same John that wrote the gospel of John and was one of the 12 disciples of Jesus, wrote a letter to reassure Christians in their faith. To help people feel confident in their knowledge of God.

So, John begins his letter with exploring who Jesus is. He tells his readers that Jesus is the Incarnate Word - fully God and fully man. Jesus is also the Word of Life, coming to bring God’s message of salvation. And so we should have fellowship with the Word and through Him with others.
