The way we perceive the world is influenced by so many different factors. And so our viewpoint is never objective, it is flawed, highly individual, subjective. Our perception influences the way we behave, what we say and do.

This means that sometimes our perspective can lead us into paths that are not of God. Which is why it is important to lift our eyes and ask God to give us a heavenly perspective, to be able to look at situations through God’s eyes.

This is not something we are capable of achieving by ourselves, but the Holy Spirit works in us to transform us by the renewing of our minds. So let us ask the Holy Spirit to continue to work in us. Will we allow God to renew our minds and give us His perspective on life?
