When thinking about addictions, I’m sure many people would like to deny they are addicted. Someone might say: “I don’t take drugs, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t gamble, so I can’t be an addict!” But the truth is we are all addicted to something. Addictions are when we pursue something other than God habitually to give us comfort, relief, even when it is harmful to us.

That’s the bad news — we are all addicts. The good news is that Jesus came to set us free and give us a new life. Let us come to God once again and receive His freedom.
