The Movement We Receive in Christ
Colossians / 12
We are part of a movement - a movement with the purpose to advance the Kingdom of God. The Peace We Receive in Christ

This includes allowing the peace of Christ to rule in our relationships and the way we sacrificially love and serve one another. How does the peace of Christ rule in your heart and in your relationships? Read more

The Freedom We Receive in Christ
Colossians / 8
Jesus has offered us freedom. Freedom from striving, trying desperately to win God’s approval. And Freedom from judgement. From the judgement of others, from the judgement of God because Jesus has taken our punishment upon Himself. And He has also freed us from the need for us to judge others. Only God can judge, so we do not have the right to pass judgements on others. Colossians 2:16-23 Matthew 23 Luke 1:50-53 Read more

The Stability We Receive in Christ
Colossians / 6
Stability is essential if we are to truly know freedom. But where we get our stability from is important. When we look to the things of the world for stability we inevitably find that what we thought was secure was actually uncertain and fragile. But when we look for our stability in Christ, we know that we have found certain eternal stability that will never fail. So what does that mean for us in practice? Read more

The Saviour We’ve Received
Colossians / 3
When we are being rescued, it matters who our saviour is - what is their character? What are their intentions? Are they rescuing me for good or bad? This week we look at who our Saviour is. Paul uses the words of a lovely early Christian hymn to teach us about who our Saviour is. Jesus is Lord over all creation and Lord over the new creation - so what does this mean for us? Read more
